April 1-June 10: 181 Extremists Eliminated in Pakistan by Security Forces

Security forces in Pakistan have intensified their efforts to combat terrorism, resulting in the neutralization of 181 terrorists across the country between April 1 and June 10. Conducting over 7,000 operations in various regions, including Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, security forces successfully thwarted cross-border infiltration attempts and disrupted terrorist activities.

According to a report, the timely response of security forces played a pivotal role in foiling the nefarious plans of banned terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Infiltration attempts were particularly targeted in areas such as Bajaur, Dir, and Chitral, where intelligence-based information enabled security forces to preemptively counter terrorist activities.

In a significant development on Tuesday, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district, resulting in the elimination of at least 11 terrorists. The operation was initiated in response to a recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion that tragically claimed the lives of seven soldiers, including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas and Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir.

In a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it was revealed that security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location during the operation, resulting in the successful neutralization of eleven terrorists. Additionally, multiple terrorist hideouts were discovered and dismantled, further disrupting terrorist networks in the region.

The relentless efforts of security forces reflect a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens amidst persistent threats from terrorist organizations. By proactively targeting terrorist elements and preempting their activities, security forces aim to maintain stability and peace across the country.

As the fight against terrorism continues, the cooperation between security forces and intelligence agencies remains crucial in identifying and neutralizing terrorist threats. Through coordinated efforts and timely responses, Pakistan’s security apparatus endeavors to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the lives of its citizens from the scourge of terrorism.
