Addressing the gathering at Christ Church during Christmas celebrations, the Army Chief highlighted the persistent efforts of the country’s enemies to sow discord through religious, ethnic, and political fault lines. He urged the nation to unite and stand resolute against such divisive tactics.

Expressing goodwill and extending festive greetings, General Asim Munir joined the Christian community in celebrating Christmas. The congregation warmly welcomed the COAS, expressing gratitude for his participation in the joyous occasion.

Acknowledging the Christian community’s contributions, the Army Chief wished Merry Christmas to the entire Christian community in Pakistan. He emphasized the need for fostering greater interfaith harmony in society, aligning with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam for a united and progressive Pakistan.

Paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 147th birthday, the COAS quoted the historical remarks made during the Constituent Assembly address on August 11, 1947: “You are free. You are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this State of Pakistan.”

In conclusion, General Syed Asim Munir recognized and appreciated the contributions and sacrifices made by the entire Christian community of Pakistan across various fields and domains.
