In a significant development within the Pakistan Army, three Major Generals – Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Omer Ahmed Bukhari, and Inayat Hussain – have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in a series of high-level promotions and appointments.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, announced the promotions and assigned new roles to the newly promoted officers. Lieutenant General Omer Bukhari has been appointed as the Commander of 11 Corps in Peshawar, while Lieutenant General Inayat Hussain will assume the role of Chief of Logistics Services at GHQ.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry will continue his duties as the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Lieutenant General Omer Bukhari, distinguished with the sword of honour in the 84 Long Course, and Lieutenant General Inayat Hussain, honored with the presidential gold medal, have served as Vice Chiefs of General Staff at GHQ before their promotions.
Though there was no official announcement of the promotions, these elevations mark a crucial phase in the Pakistan Army’s leadership structure, signifying strategic shifts and advancements within its ranks.
