Finance Minister Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Mr. Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, to discuss Pakistan’s progress and reforms. The minister highlighted the advancements made under the 9-month SBA program and ongoing reforms in crucial areas such as taxation, energy, and privatization.
Both sides acknowledged the importance of developing a rolling Country Framework Plan spanning 10 years to guide Pakistan’s developmental agenda. World Bank President Banga assured his full support for Pakistan’s reform initiatives and digitalization programs aimed at stabilizing the economy and boosting revenues.
Finance Minister Aurangzeb extended an invitation to President Banga to visit Pakistan, further solidifying the commitment to collaboration and partnership in advancing Pakistan’s economic growth and development.
