Finance Minister Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb and Mr. Axel Van Trotsenburg, Senior Managing Director of the World Bank, discussions centered on maximizing IDA resources and addressing the challenges posed by floods. Both parties agreed on the importance of utilizing Pakistan’s IDA resources effectively and benefiting from the Bank’s Knowledge Centre.
The meeting explored options to offset the front-loading of IDA funds for flood-affected areas and emphasized the need to tell the story of Pakistan’s successful utilization of IDA resources more effectively. Minister Aurangzeb and Senior Managing Director Van Trotsenburg discussed strategies to enhance the impact of IDA resources in Pakistan and leverage the expertise available at the Bank’s Knowledge Centre.
