Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Project Communication Boost Agreement Reached

Islamabad: An agreement has been reached to enhance communication on the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project by September.

Chairman of the Standing Committee on Petroleum, Abdul Qadir, revealed that both countries intend to handle this matter in a way that avoids the impact of American sanctions. Previously, during negotiations, Iran’s position was that U.S. sanctions did not affect gas trade.

He mentioned on November 14th that Pakistan is facing a shortage of gas, and expensive LNG imports are being utilized to meet the requirements.
