ISPR Confirms Martyrdom of Two Soldiers in Dera Ismail Khan Suicide Bombing

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Friday that two Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred in a suicide bomb explosion targeting a security forces’ convoy in Dera Ismail Khan district.

According to the military’s media wing, the convoy was targeted by a suicide bomber riding a vehicle on Thursday.

As a result of the explosion, Naib Subedar Yasir Shakeel, 38, and Sepoy Tahir Naveed, 34, both residents of Kohat district, embraced martyrdom.

ISPR stated, “The security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of the brave soldiers further strengthen their resolve.”

Furthermore, ISPR assured that the perpetrators of this cowardly attack will be brought to justice.

In another development, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on the night of March 20-21. During the operation, one terrorist identified as Chakar Liaquat was killed, while two others sustained injuries.

The troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the neutralization of Chakar Liaquat, who was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities. Additionally, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorist.
