Justice Mazhar Ali Naqvi has taken a bold step by challenging the actions of the Supreme Judicial Council regarding the reference against him. The eminent justice, represented by lawyer Mukhdoom Ali Khan, has filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court, contending that the ongoing campaign against him constitutes an assault on judicial freedom.

The petition, filed on behalf of Justice Mazhar Naqvi, highlights that the Judicial Council issued a notice of future action without duly considering his objections. Furthermore, it underscores that on October 27, the Judicial Council released a press statement, allegedly infringing upon the fundamental rights of Justice Mazhar Naqvi.
