Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation-Customs Seizes Huge Quantity of Smuggled Foreign Origin Fabric in Lahore

The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation-Customs in Lahore continues its crackdown on smuggled goods with the recent seizure of a substantial quantity of foreign origin fabric. Director General Intelligence and Investigation-Customs, Sir Faiz Ahmad Chadhar, received information regarding the presence of this illicit fabric.

Following this, Mr. Haris Ansari, Director-Customs Intelligence Lahore, and Additional Director Mr. Rizwan Bashir assembled a team under the supervision of DD ASO Mr. Yawar Hayat. The ASO team conducted a raid on a godown located in Lahore, resulting in the seizure of approximately 30,236 kg of smuggled foreign origin gents suiting/shirting fabric and other varieties in rolls/thans.

The confiscated fabric is estimated to have a value of around Rs 97 million. An FIR has been filed against the owners/proprietors involved in the case, while further investigation is ongoing. Videos related to the seizure have been shared for additional information.
