M Aurangzeb Meets EU Ambassador

Dr. Riina Kionka, the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan, paid a courtesy visit to Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb, at the Finance Division. The meeting aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration between the EU and Pakistan on various fronts.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb extended a warm welcome to the EU Ambassador, emphasizing the enduring bilateral relations and development cooperation shared between the EU and Pakistan over the years. He expressed gratitude for the EU’s continuous support, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters such as floods, which have significantly impacted Pakistan.

In turn, Dr. Riina Kionka congratulated the Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue on his recent appointment to office, highlighting the EU’s commitment to working closely with the new government. The ambassador expressed eagerness to collaborate on various initiatives aimed at advancing mutual interests and fostering sustainable development.

Furthermore, the finance minister briefed the EU ambassador on the government’s key reform priorities, underscoring areas of potential collaboration. These include initiatives related to digitization, enhancing export competitiveness, and boosting livestock and dairy production, all of which are integral to Pakistan’s economic growth and resilience.
