The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announces a significant victory in the fight against terrorism as security forces eliminate the mastermind behind the Mir Ali attack, along with seven other terrorists, in an operation conducted in North Waziristan District.

According to ISPR, the operation, conducted on the night of March 17 and 18, targeted terrorists based on intelligence reports. The intense exchange of fire resulted in the neutralization of eight terrorists, including a high-value target terrorist commander known as Sehra alias Janan, who orchestrated the Mir Ali attack on March 16.

The statement further highlights the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country. Sanitization operations continue in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists, reflecting the determination of the Security Forces of Pakistan to combat the menace of terrorism.

The operation comes in response to the terrorist attack on a security forces’ post in Mir Ali, during which seven Pakistan Army soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel and captain, sacrificed their lives while bravely defending against the assailants.

ISPR reports that the terrorists attempted to infiltrate the post in the early hours of Saturday, initiating multiple attacks, including the detonation of an explosive-laden vehicle and suicide bombings. Despite the challenges, Pakistani troops, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, effectively engaged and neutralized all six terrorists involved in the attack.

The successful clearance operation underscores the resilience and bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the nation against terrorist threats. The sacrifice of the martyred soldiers is honored as a testament to their unwavering dedication to protecting the country and its citizens.
