The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) issues arrest warrants for former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, citing a corruption case under Section 9(a) of the NAB ordinance. NAB Chairman Lt. Gen (retired) Nazir Ahmed issues the warrant, directing Fawad to be produced before the court for detention authorization.

Fawad’s wife, Hiba, confirms the warrants, expressing concerns about a prevailing atmosphere of fear. An Islamabad district and session court grants permission to implement the arrest warrant, allowing Fawad to join the investigation. The history includes Fawad’s previous arrest outside the Supreme Court and subsequent relief from the Islamabad High Court. Fawad, who later joined the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party, faces renewed legal challenges.
