Pakistan and KSA Reinforce Strategic Partnership for Economic Cooperation

Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have reaffirmed their commitment to building a robust partnership and fostering economic cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations. The resolve for this strategic collaboration was emphasized during a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.

Accompanied by a high-powered delegation including key figures such as the Minister of Water and Agriculture, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and other senior officials, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud engaged in discussions focusing on bilateral ties and regional dynamics, particularly recent developments in the Middle East.

In attendance were prominent Pakistani officials, including Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister for Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Minister for Privatisation and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan, among others. The meeting addressed pressing issues of regional importance, advocating for an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israeli atrocities in Gaza.

President Zardari expressed Pakistan’s enduring commitment to fortifying the longstanding relationship with KSA into a comprehensive strategic and economic partnership. He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, highlighting the integral role of KSA in the prosperity of the Islamic world.

Acknowledging the visionary leadership of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and the transformative Vision 2030 initiative, President Zardari extended gratitude for KSA’s support during challenging times. In response, the Saudi foreign minister underscored the critical nature of the bilateral relationship and expressed KSA’s dedication to fostering a strong partnership with Pakistan.

Highlighting the significant contributions of the Pakistani Diaspora to the development of KSA, the Saudi delegation conveyed greetings from the Saudi leadership, reaffirming the importance of Pakistan in the Kingdom’s strategic agenda. President Zardari reciprocated by extending best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
