Pakistan’s Finance Minister engaged with Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister, H.E Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, to acknowledge and strengthen the historical, political, economic, trade, cultural, and educational ties between the two nations. Both ministers agreed to deepen cooperation, particularly in enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
The discussions focused on giving a fresh impetus to the existing cooperation frameworks to facilitate mutual growth and development. Pakistan expressed interest in benefiting from Turkey’s expertise in power generation and distribution, aiming to leverage Turkey’s experience to enhance its own energy sector.
The meeting emphasized the significance of fostering closer economic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration across various sectors. Both countries are poised to benefit from strengthened bilateral relations, with a focus on maximizing mutual benefits and promoting sustainable development.
