PM Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Noshki Attack, Vows Justice for Victims

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the tragic incident in Noshki, Balochistan, where nine passengers were reportedly shot dead by unidentified assailants,

In a statement, the Prime Minister offered prayers for the souls of the departed and assured that those responsible for this act of terrorism, along with their accomplices, will face punishment, according to Radio Pakistan. He reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating the scourge of terrorism and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.

The bus, en route from Quetta, was stopped by armed assailants who forced nine passengers off the bus and fatally shot them. Police discovered the bodies under a bridge and launched a search operation to locate the abductees.

Subsequently, the same attackers targeted a car belonging to a provincial parliamentarian, leading to the death of two individuals when the car veered off the road, Senior local police officer Allah Bakhsh informed AFP. Although the lawmaker was not present in the vehicle, the assailants managed to escape the area before law enforcement arrived.

Habibullah Musakhail, a senior official of the Noshki district administration, stated, “Police and paramilitary forces have initiated a combing operation in the area to apprehend the attackers.” He confirmed the death toll and added, “However, the attackers have evaded capture this time.”

Bakhsh indicated that the attackers employed tactics commonly associated with Baloch separatists, prompting an investigation to determine the perpetrators behind the attacks.
