Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reiterated its commitment to safeguard democracy, asserting that its founding chairman, Imran Khan, would not engage in any dealings with external powers until democracy is firmly established and embraced in its true essence.

Addressing a press conference, PTI’s Secretary Information, Rauf Hassan, affirmed the party’s determination to utilize all legal and constitutional channels to prevent undue interference from non-political entities in political processes.

Hassan highlighted concerns over the electoral process, noting delays and halts in result declarations during the recent elections, particularly as PTI gained a significant lead in various regions. He criticized alleged political engineering behind the scenes, which transformed PTI’s apparent victories into defeats.

Criticizing the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Hassan questioned its competency, citing recurring system failures and suspicions of result tampering. He emphasized PTI’s emergence as a prominent political force in central and provincial territories, despite efforts to manipulate election outcomes.

Asserting the people’s unequivocal support for Imran Khan’s leadership, Hassan warned against attempts to subvert the public mandate, emphasizing the electorate’s determination despite adversities.

Hassan called for independent judicial inquiries into election-related incidents to ensure accountability and transparency. He rejected retaliatory actions, advocating for national healing and unity as outlined in PTI’s manifesto.

Addressing potential attempts to sway PTI’s elected representatives, Hassan emphasized the party’s resilience and ideological commitment, vowing to resist external influences.
